The certification enables ScriptMed to support bi-directional electronic prescription transfers for its pharmacy customers.

Moving a specialty prescription from one pharmacy to another has often meant faxing the script, calling the receiving location, and waiting for the prescriber to reauthorize. ScriptMed’s RxTransfer capability can now work in both directions, letting a pharmacy request a prescription from another location or push one directly to the pharmacy that can dispense it, with status tracking from pending through completion in place of a fax and a call log.
