Earnhardt Auto Centers Provides $12,575 to Make-A-Wish(R) Arizona

PHOENIX, AZ / ACCESS Newswire / May 13, 2026 / As part of a series of events to celebrate an incredible company milestone, the Earnhardt family is donating $12,575 to Make-A-Wish® Arizona to fund wishes for critically ill children across the state. This marks the family’s fifth surprise donation to area charities – in connection with celebrating the 75th anniversary of Earnhardt Auto Centers.

“Make-A-Wish Arizona brings joy and hope to sick children and their families,” said Bull Earnhardt, grandson of the late Tex Earnhardt, the company’s founder. “We hope this donation will make it possible for more children to get a wish granted, soon.”

“Our patriarch, my grandfather Tex, instilled a belief in our family and company of how important it is to support the communities around us,” said Derby Earnhardt. “That’s why we’re celebrating our 75th anniversary with surprise donations to local charities in and around the Phoenix area.”

The family will present the check to Make-A-Wish Arizona on May 14 at 9:30 a.m. at The Parsons Wish House at 2901 North 78th Street in Scottsdale.

“Make-A-Wish Arizona has a goal to grant 100 wishes in 100 days this summer, and it is only possible through the generosity of community partners like the Earnhardt family,” said Fran Mallace, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Arizona. “We are honored by this donation, which allows us to serve more eligible children and grant wishes like trips to Hawaii, room renovations or the chance to be a zookeeper for a day.”

“When our father started Earnhardt Auto Centers in 1951, he had no idea that a single new car would lead to a large dealership and eventually 17 dealerships,” said sons Hal Earnhardt III and Jim Babe Earnhardt. “However, he always knew that success depended on hard work, honesty, and giving back to the communities that support Earnhardt.”

“To see the Earnhardt family honor Tex’s legacy through this kind of giving is incredibly meaningful,” said Fran Mallace. “As they celebrate 75 years, their investment in our community and in the lives of local children is both inspiring and deeply moving.”

“Our hope is that this surprise donation will help showcase what we call ‘The Spirit of Tex’; doing what our founder, mentor, father and [in my case] grandfather would have done … celebrate by helping those in need!” said Dodge Earnhardt, grandson.
